• Flomax (Tamsulosin HCL) is used in the management of outflow obstruction in male persons with prostatic hyperplasia.

• Flomax (Tamsulosin HCL) is contraindicated in : hypersensitivity.
• Use Flomax cautiously in : persons at risk for prostate carcinoma (symptoms may be similar).

• Flomax side effects and adverse reactions can be : dizziness, headache, rhinitis, orthostatic hypotension, retrograde/diminished ejaculation.

• Don't crush, chew or open Flomax capsules.
• Persons undergoing cataract surgery MUST tell the surgeon that he is taking an alpha blocker.
• Don't drive or operate machinery for 4 hours after first Flomax dose or after dosage increase.
